Description | The Reef Check Australia site was added to the Inshore Moreton Bay survey sites to better understand and record impacts on this heavily utilized site. The site is situated on the sandy slope parallel to the rock wall. After revisiting this site in 2018, the majority of the transect is still comprised of sand, with very little coral, or other substrate types recorded. As such, given the other site here falls on a more diverse range of substrate, focusing initial survey attempts on site 2 instead might yield a better indication of reef health for future years. |

Description | The site begins at the public boat ramp and continues along the artificial rock wall near a popular camping and fishing ground. Site 2 is on the back reef wall at a depth of 2 metres, above the deeper site 1. Timing of the survey here is crucial, as current can be very strong even shortly after high tide. |
